Matrix Refractories Division of Allied Mineral Products, Inc. announces the release of its new QUICK-FIRE® and QUICK-STICK® product lines. QUICK-STICK® is a family of products for patching and repairing of aluminum melting refractories. QUICK-FIRE® is a family of castable products for partial cast repairs or complete lining installations, also in molten aluminum applications. These two product lines utilize the same technology where a dry refractory aggregate is mixed with a proprietary compound on the work site. These products are supplied pre-measured so that the two components are simply emptied from their separate packages into a single container and mixed thoroughly. The most important advantage of these products is the rapid turnaround time in terms of mixing, applying, and heat up. Heat can be applied almost immediately after installation, while conventional castables and even low moisture castables must air dry for hours before seeing heat. These products are currently available for shipment.
