QUICK-FIRE®
QUICK-FIRE® is a truly unique and versatile refractory
castable product line for the aluminum melting industry. Available in several
compositions, QUICK-FIRE® is a complete family of products that can
be used in a wide range of applications and installation methods.
QUICK-FIRE®
can be installed like a refractory castable as an entire lining, or as a patch to repair
an existing refractory lining. QUICK-FIRE® can also be used to
precast refractory shapes. For small repairs that require trowelling and veneering over
existing refractory surfaces, our QUICK-STICK® patching product line
may be more appropriate.
QUICK-FIRE® technology utilizes a two component refractory system
which incorporates a dry refractory aggregate that is mixed with a proprietary liquid
bonding compound onsite. The resulting refractory has a consistency similar to that of a
self leveling castable which facilitates repair of thin cross-sectional areas as well as
large refractory segments.
Due to QUICK-FIRE's® setting characteristics and high green
strength, placement forms can be removed in a few hours. This results in rapid turn around
of metal melting and heat containment equipment.
QUICK-FIRE® not
only bonds to itself, but QUICK-FIRE® also adheres to other green or
fired refractory compositions.
